Gulet charter in Bodrum takes you back to the source: these boats have been built on this peninsula for generations, and the range of vessels and crews is wider here than anywhere else on the coast. Two gulets are listed on this page, aimed at very different holidays.

The 22-metre gulet is an honest, cosy option for two or three families or a group of friends. Four en-suite cabins, an awning over the aft deck, bow loungers, a kayak and a crew of three including a cook. By day she takes up to 16 guests to Kara Ada, Aquarium Bay or Orak.

The 30-metre luxury gulet is another league: six roomy air-conditioned cabins, a deck jacuzzi, a tender, water toys, a chef, a stewardess and deckhands, six crew in total. For a week she suits multi-generation families and parties of up to twelve, and for a single day she can host up to 20 people for a big celebration off Orak.

Where you go

The gulets leave from Bodrum's marina. A classic week heads east into the Gulf of Gökova, for Sedir Island and the bays of İnceburun and Çökertme, or south towards Marmaris. Day trips stick to the nearby islands: Kara Ada, Aquarium Bay and Orak.

When to go

June and September are the golden months for a gulet week, with warm water, quieter bays and gentler wind. July and August are hot with the meltemi blowing, so the captain plans around Gökova's sheltered anchorages. The full season runs May to October, and peak weeks are worth securing early.

Gulet charter in Bodrum: FAQ

Should we choose the 22 m or the 30 m gulet?

The 22-metre boat suits people who value atmosphere and simplicity and is noticeably more affordable. The 30-metre one is for those who want air conditioning, a jacuzzi, a chef and service close to a small superyacht.

How many people fit?

By day, up to 16 guests on the smaller gulet and up to 20 on the larger. For a week, go by the cabins: four and six respectively.

What is an APA?

An advance on expenses paid before the charter. The captain uses it for food, drinks and fees, and at the end of the week you receive the accounts and any unspent balance back.

Can we book a gulet just for the day?

Yes. Most often that means Kara Ada, Aquarium Bay or Orak with a lunch made by the cook, which works well for a large celebration.
